INTRODUCTION
Palak puri
is a super delicious dish. It is tea time snack or breakfast also. You can pack
these for your kid's lunch box. This is very easy and simple recipe. Palak puri
goes well with souse or dahi.
INGREDIENTS
· 2 cups spinach/ palak
· 2 green chillies
· 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
· 3 cups wheat flour
· Salt to teste
· 1 tbsp coriander powder
· Oil for fry
· 1 tbsp jeera powder
· ½ tbsp red chilli powder
· ½ cup semolina
· White sesame seeds
· Carom seeds
PROCESS
Step 1: Heat
up the water in a pan. Spinach wash it drop the spinach in boiling water and
blanch for just about 6-7 minutes. Turn of the gas.
Step 2: Take
green chillies into a blender jar and blend chillies.
Step 3: Add blanched
spinach along with water into the blender jar and blend it into puree.
Step 4: Take
wheat flour and semolina into dish and add salt, red chilli powder, coriander
powder, jeera powder, carom seeds, sesame seed, spinach puree mix well and
knead the dough.
Step 5: Do
not use any water at all while kneading the dough.
Step 6: The
dough should neither to thick nor too thin. It should have medium consistency.
Cover and rest it for 30 minutes.
Step 7: Knead the dough once and make small balls from it. Roll them like puri. If puri sticks while rolling, you can use little oil.
Step 8: Heat
up oil in a pan. Drop the puri having the little cracks first in the oil. Puri
will puff up and float. Flip it over take the puri out into a dish
Step 9: Palak
puri is ready.
NOTE
§ Do not use any flour while rolling
the puri if you use any flour while rolling puri will absorb lots of oil.
