Dhokla

 

INTRODUCTION

Dhokla recipe it is very easy and instant recipe. This recipe does not required any fermentation. We are making this dhokla in a pan. Dhokla is perfect breakfast option and goes with pudina chutney.

 





INGREDIENTS

·       3 Cup besan

·       1 tsp lemon juice

·       ¼ tsp turmeric powder

·       2 tsp oil

·       2 tsp eno

·       Salt to teste

·       1 cup of water

·       Mustard seeds

·       Curry leaves

·       4-5 green chillies

·       Water

·       ¼ tsp sugar

 

PROCESS

Step 1: Take besan into a bowl

Step 2: Add turmeric powder, salt to teste, add water and make batter.

Step 3: Add lemon juice and oil. Mix well rest the batter for about 20 minutes.

Step 4: Add eno and mix well. Batter for making dhokla is ready.

Step 5: Take a plate grace the plate well with oil. Transfer the batter into the plate.

Step 6: Heat up water in a pan on high heat and bring it to boil. Put a dish in the at the base.

Step 7: Lower down the gas to medium heat and transfer the dhokla plate on the dish.

Step 8: Cover and steam the dhokla on medium heat about 15 minutes.

Step 9: Insert knife at the center of the dhokla. If it comes out clean the dhokla is ready.

Step 10: Loosen the sides of the plate with the help of knife. Take another plate and flip the dhokla dish over into it. Cut dhokla into peas.

Step 11: For tadka, heat up a pan. Add mustard seed and let it pop up add green chillies and curry leaves.

Step 12: Then add water, sugar, salt in the tadka. Cover the tadka for about a minutes.

Step 13: Add the tadka on the dhokla,

Step 14: Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves. Dhokla is ready.

TIPS

§  Water is add after the tadka because keep the dhokla soft and moist for longer time.
