KADHI PAKODA

 

INTRODUCTION

This is very popular Panjabi dish. It is take less time to make this recipe. Kadhi pakoda and rice is the best combination but it is goes well with the roti and chapati too. This recipe doesn’t need many fancy ingredients.

INGREDIENTS

PAKODA

·       1 cup besan

·       Salt to teste

·       1tsp ajwain/carom seed

·       ½ cup water

·       Finely chopped onion

·       Finely chopped coriander leaves

·       Oil for frying

KADHI

·       1cup curd

·       10 cup water

·       ½ cup of besan

·       ¼ tsp turmeric powder

·       1 tsp cumic seed

·       Salt to teste

·       Curry leaves

·       Mustard seed

·       Chopped green chillis

·       Water as needed

PROCESS (pakoda)

Step 1 : Mix besan and salt well together and add water to make thick paste

Step 2 : Beat peste really good about 2-3 minutes and rest for about 10 minutes. Batter for pakoda is ready.

Step 3 : Add ajwain, onion, coriander leaves and mix well.

Step 4 : Heat up oil in a pan and drop small pakoda in it.

Step 5 : Fry pakoda well from all the side and take them out in a dish. Pakoda is ready.

KADHI

Step 1: Mix curd besan and water, turmeric powder and salt well together. No lumps of besan should be formed.

Step 2: Heat up oil in a pan  add cumic seed, mustard seed, curry leaves, green chillies and fry well for a minutes.

Step 3: Turn off the gas and add the curd mixure ,water and salt and mix well.

Step 4: Simmer the kadhi on low heat for about 5 minutes. Drop the hot pakodas into hot kadhi.

NOTE

§  You can add sugar if you want.
