SABUDANA KHICHDI


 

INTRODUCTION

Todays recipe is upwas special sabudana khichdi. Everyone like sabudana khichdi but specially kids more this khichdi. This is good option for kids tiffin also. You can make this khichdi sweet using sugar.



INGREDIENTS

·       1 cup sabudana 

·       ½ cup of granted peanuts.

·       1 tbsp cumic seed

·       Less than one cup of water

·       2 tbsp oil

·       Chopped green chillies

·       Peeled and chopped potato

·       Salt to teste

PROCESS

Step 1 : Wash sabudana really good with water and soak it in enough water overnight or at least 5-6 hour.

Step 2 : Heat up pan on medium heat and add 2 tbsp  oil and cumic seed (you can skip the cumic seed if you don’t want_)

Step 3 : When cumic seed splutter add green chillies and fry it well.

Step 4 : When green chillies change the color, add potato fry the potato well. Cook potato really good. Add little bit salt on it and mix well.

Step 5 : Add sabudana and fry it really good about 3-4 minutes.

Step 6 : Cover and cook sabudana really good until it is cooked well. After every 2 minutes remove the lid and mix it well again cover and continue cooking sabudana.

Step 7 : When sabudana translucent add roasted peanuts powder, salt mix everything well together.

Step 8 : Fry the khichdi really good. Cover and cook the khichdi for about 5 minutes. sabudana khichdi is ready.

NOTE

§  If you think that sabudana is not soaked well, sprinkle little water on it and mix well. Rest for about 10 minutes.
